Baby alpaca is neck and neck wool from the first shearing of approximately one-year-old alpacas. It meets extremely strict quality standards (fiber thickness of 18-23 microns).
Wool from alpacas has excellent thermal insulation properties. It retains heat and in summer does not cause overheating. It is as much as six times warmer and three times more durable than sheep’s wool.
It gets softer over time without losing its beauty and warmth. It is hypoallergenic, so it will be ideal for allergy sufferers and people with very sensitive skin. The alpaca fiber has natural antibacterial properties and is also odor resistant.
